Then, how about postponing a few days the autumnal equinox and meet us again on September 29th, 2013 in the far north to say goodbye to the summer and enjoy the last part of holiday together?

An initiative born from shared passions: the Cabriomeeting and the Italian Mazda Register MX-5 (RIM). We couldn’t leave disregarded the numerous requests of our fans. “Efforts will feel less if you join the resources"!

So we wanted to wink to the contingency that grips the daily lives of all of us and name this event in a singular way: apparently joking and a bit irreverent, if you want to find at all costs a two-way, but, in fact, inspired by a great novel.

So, are you all ready to join us and spend the last September Sunday together?

Appointment in Trentino, Sunday, 09/29/2013 in Tonadico di Primiero (Trento) that will welcome you and will open its valleys for the whole day for the 1st Mazda MX-5 Meeting “The Desert of the Tartars”. We will scamper far and wide all around for more than 200 kilometres.

Hotel Tressane will be our headquarters: breakfast and credits from 8.30. Briefing and departure at 10.00. The first session of the tour guide points to the legendary Pale di San Martino - located in the Primiero’s Dolomites, for the majority in the province of Belluno - which, according to some sources, seems to have inspired the writer Dino Buzzati (great lover of the peaks of chain) in the setting of his novel “The Desert of the Tartars”.

Outside the "escape from time" continues the full immersion in the magnificent views of one of the valleys that is in absolute the most beautiful of the entire mountain range: Val Canali. The spectacular forests of the southern Trentino will lead us to Canale d’Agordo, in Veneto, the birthplace of Pope John Paul I. And then up to 1,369 m. for the mountain pass, Passo Cereda, to climb up to 2,032 m. the border between Veneto and Trentino: Passo Valles. We will close the morning crossing Passo Rolle, where there is one of the stations officially recognized by the World Meteorological Organization.

Back to the Hotel Tressane then, to take refreshment from the efforts and prepare for the afternoon adventure: a shortest path but equally compelling and with fantastic views. Direction Borgo Valusagana, whose historical centre is the only one, in Trentino, developed on both banks of the river Brenta. To get there we will travel along the tunnel dug under the mountain Totoga (high 3,350 km) and we will cross the Valle del Vanoi without missing the 1,616 m. of Passo del Brocon. A good digestive, isn’t?

The participation fee is 110,00 € per crew of two people (one MX-5, driver and co-driver); 90,00 € for single crew (driver and a MX-5). The deadline to confirm your participation is September 16th, 2013.
